A property survey should be a priority for you to protect your investment.
A mortgage valuation is not a survey as it belongs to the lender. Instructing your own RICS survey will highlight potential problems for you and your legal advisors, providing confidence in your purchase.

If you bought your home using the 'Help to Buy' Scheme you will require an RICS Regulated Valuation if you choose to pay off the loan, remortgage, or when selling the property. The valuation is to determine the current market valuation to establish the amount of the loan to be repaid. .
